Happy Valentine's Day for those observing it. I actually forgot about it several times throughout the day. On Friday I was told to wear red to school on Monday, so I wore an old red pats t-shirt, but the rest of my brain didn't make the connection that it was Valentine's day. I even handed back all the valentines my 2nd graders made in class on Friday, but for some reason it STILL didn't dawn on me that it was Valentine's Day. Talk about being out of it.
Without being repeatedly hit over the head by the holiday commercialization behemoth otherwise known as HALLMARK, some holidays can slide right by you without even noticing them.
